Time Will Tell
This story always gets me through some tough times, plus a worthwhile daily reminder worth pinning on your moodboard.
There lived an old farmer who worked in a field for many years.
One day, his horse bolted away from him. His neighbors dropped by to offer their sympathy over his loss. All the Farmer said is “time will tell”.
The next morning, to everyone’s surprise, the horse was back, bringing with it three other wild horses. “How amazing!” everyone exclaimed. The farmer said, “Time will tell”.
A day later, the farmer’s son tried to ride one of the wild horses & and was thrown off and broke his leg. Once more, the neighbors came by to offer their sympathy, seeing that the farmer's son would not be able to help his father in the field, making his life that much harder, but the farmer said, “time will tell”.
The next day, the village has some visitors- military officers looking to draft young men into the army for a war that they were losing thousands of soldiers a day in death. Seeing the son's broken leg, they did not draft him.
What looks like a curse may, in time, prove to be a blessing for us. So, the next time something does not go your way, or life is not working out the way that you want it to work out or thought that it should work out, perhaps it is not a curse after all.
